Medical Tourism

International professional organizations, NGOs and other international institutions work together to ensure that the medical training doctors and medical equipment are standardized worldwide. Diagnostic terminology is set; medication of prescription drugs to anesthesia are globally available.

Medical tourism takes advantage of this standardization of medical procedures. Doctors abroad, many of them haveinsurance in the U.S. or Canada, trained or are members of the international professional association that their patients will enjoy the same quality of care, as it does at home, if not better.

Thailand is perhaps the best-established destination for medical tourism, and much of it is due to make the world of the Thai doctors and hospital administrators. Characteristic high-Thai facilities' level of health routinism means that patients enjoy medical care andHospital experiences that are higher than, or at least comparable to standards in their home countries. Not only do many Thai physicians hold U.S. professional certification, a number of hospitals receiving Thai cooperative relationships with organizations in the U.S. as well. Many travel to hospitals in Thailand for plastic surgery or other forms of cosmetic surgery in North America, Europe and Japan.

India is the development of a competitive market in health tourism, industry observers and mayCredit expansion of health care in India tourism industry worldwide reach of the profession. Leading institutions in India are designed to the same specifications as research centers and hospitals through out the world. India is not only in the transfer of the globalization of medicine for the benefit of the tourist industry. To do so, medical facilities in Singapore and the Philippines offer patients excellent medical and dental treatments.

Just as health routinismis not only in Thailand, recent growth in medical tourism is not only to Asia. Each year more and more travelers book tickets to Eastern Europe or south in the North and South America for dental treatment, to South Africa for aesthetic surgery, or to Canada for laser treatments.
