The positive and healing power of humor

Humor is not only when one of the Internet and collect a few jokes. Humor is much more than that. "If you make me laugh, I'm not depressed!" Experts tell us that it can occupy only one feeling a space at a given time. Therefore ... you're either happy or sad.

I'm in the mood for over 50 years, as I have never tired of a smile on someone's face! Each of us knows that laughter is the best medicine for what ails you, and it has humor and positive thinking that helped me through my darkest day to cope with ... and there are many of them has! No matter what or how hard ... Pain is pain! And pain comes in many different flavors. When it comes toPain ... there is no discrimination ... everyone is treated equally ... how the hell!

In my case, and because of a childhood injury that was never resolved, the following years brought a 20 years struggle against the implacable paralysis and migraines. In 2008, there are more than 40 million headache sufferers in the United States ... and there is no cure! I have a lifetime of the patient was headache one kind or another, and.or one degree or another. And with all the pain,comes with a headache ... Depression, anxiety, stress, epistaxis, hypertension, weight loss, despair, loss of confidence / self-esteem, etc.

The healthy-promoting and healing power of humor got its biggest boost from the book Norman Cousins, The Anatomy of an Illness, "published in 1979. He came spondlitis with a serious disease called Crohn's and got a 1 chance in 500 to survival. Cousins was aware of the statement ofPsychosomatic Medicine & research showing that negative emotions are harmful to health. He reasoned that the opposite must be true. The positive emotions should promote health and healing. Cousins Beat the odds and survived.

In my book, the positive and healing power of humor (work-in-progress), I would like to share with the afflicted reader and carry them with their own pain ... and encourage them to say that there is hope! Brings humor and a positive attitude in your lifeYou will also win the battle for what ails you!

For over twenty years my life has been a role terrible and descent ... Feel good one days ... and rotten the next ... and all the depression and despair that goes with it. A summary is as follows.

Almost homeless more than once worked as a temporary employee for more than a decade without a car for more than seven years, bleeding ulcers, weight loss, little or no confidence, more than 150 visitors to the medical facilities, loss ofeducational benefits (GI Bill), no family support, poor memory / poor student retention, hypertension, depression, contracted TB; did not get a credit card, until I 38 years old, etc.

The only thing that had helped me get through it all, to keep a diary, because of a terrible memory on my side. It enabled me to go back and the progress I made in the areas of nutrition see motion medications, pain, posture, and so on.

What is the difference between humor and laughter? Laughter is innate, and you are born with your giggles. They have unique sounds of laughter.
